Perry County RSVP July 2020 Update

JULY 2020

Dear RSVP Members:

This spring, and so far this summer, has been a challenging time in all of our lives.

I hope that you are all staying safe and adhering to the CDC guidelines.  The Center for Disease Control, CDC has many good tips and recommendations for stopping disease spread.  Please visit their website for the latest guidance.  The Ohio Department of Health also has the latest up-to-date information on the details for Ohioans and COVID 19.

I wanted to share with everyone what’s been going on with Perry County RSVP.

Volunteers continue to serve in our food pantries. These volunteers have been diligent in volunteering at the pantries, making a difference in people’s lives with food insecurities.

We also continue with reassurance phone calls to check in and offer a friendly and familiar voice to homebound seniors.

Volunteers are making masks and donating them to not only our community but to others in need.

We have re-started our Walk With Ease Program, walking on the paved walking path at the New Lexington City Schools.  We walk six feet apart, and it’s up to you if you choose to wear a mask.  These classes are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.   If you are interested in joining, please call my office to sign up.

If you are retired, are over 55, and are interested in contributing to your community as a volunteer, contact:
