Most of the space on the ground floor will have these steel studs on the existing walls and new drywall fastened to them. There are pro & cons that were heavily considered between this and re-plastering the stone walls. The cost is about the same. This method will provide us pathways for electrical and low voltage (IT) lines, allowing all those wires to be hidden rather than exposed conduit. It does take way about 3 inches of space along each wall, but it is doubtful that will be noticeable once we are finished.
