The second set of stairs is going in! These are the steel stringers pictured outside on the ground. The structural steel is in place. The stringers and stair pans will be installed from the top to the bottom. Once the steel stair pans are in, they will be filled with concrete and will have a polished finish. This additional staircase is required by code standards. The beautiful historic staircase does not meet what is considered the standard tread and riser dimensions. However, this stair will provide us access to the attic when finished. More to come as these progress.
