Ohio National Guard and ODOT Mobilized to Assist Local Cleanup Efforts
PERRY COUNTY, Ohio — Flood debris cleanup operations began today, Tuesday, August 18, across Perry, Muskingum, and Morgan Counties. The initiative is being conducted in coordination with the Ohio Emergency Management Agency, Ohio National Guard and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).
All residents affected by recent flooding are encouraged to place debris along the roadway for removal. Most items may be grouped together, but household appliances and tires must be separated from general waste.
Disposal crews are currently operating in the Crooksville and Corning areas and will advance toward Roseville this afternoon. Cleanup crews will be working continuously throughout affected communities in Perry, Morgan, and Muskingum Counties. Because operations are dynamic, exact routes and estimated arrival times for specific locations are not available in advance.
