More windows are arriving. These are the last of the windows to be installed in the attic level. Next week, you should see windows going in on the main levels.

I mentioned the “CARNEGIE” steel yesterday- here is a stamp on one of the “I” beams.

I wanted to share an interesting reflection regarding quality of steel today versus the 1880s. The roofers that had to add all the additional steel to the bell tower super structure that I showed you earlier had to drill multiple holes in the existing steel for the additional steel supports. They said that’s the hardest steel they have ever witnessed! A new drill bit was only capable of drilling one hole. I’m not sure of the specifics of how they made steel then or now, but you can see that Carnegie stamp. That is unpainted bare steel that is probably 140 years old, and it’s not rusted! Think about that.
