All the protective plywood covering over the historic floor tile has been removed on the first floor. We are working to strip off decades of various types of floor wax, wash it and scrub the tile clean. After it’s cleaned, we are working through the best type of sealer to use. You can see the obvious wear of 138 years of being walked on. The sealer on the left noticeably restores back some of the original brightness.
