Well, this is awesome! You’re going to want to check this out. We made an amazing discovery of original floor tile in great shape that hasn’t seen the light of day for decades. I believe this has been covered with carpet glue for longer than anyone alive can recall. If anyone remembers when it was last exposed, please let me know.

We discovered it, and did some test cleaning that went very well. With that, we made the decision to clean it all and once again use this historic and amazing floor covering. It’s covered with protective paper now. Lifting the paper in places to show you the tile. It will be re-sealed to protect it for use.

This is located on the second floor, starting at the doorway at the main corridor extending the hallway behind the common pleas courtroom to what is the judge’s chambers. We discovered it quite some time ago, I have just been waiting till we got the entire corridor stripped so I could show it effectively.

Such a great find and to be able to preserve it is incredible!
