The platform Katie is talking about will be an additional platform we are adding within the bell tower not a replacement. Adding this platform actually makes a more economical system of stairs as we rebuild the stairs up to the top of the bell tower. And definitely makes it a safer climb. The scaffolding has been there from the beginning to complete the work in the top of the tower, we had to lower it a bit to get this new permanent platform built. The section of stairs is original. The engineers agreed to let it remain if we reinforced it a bit as Katie Cook talks about.
