Took a Veteran’s day break on the courthouse posts. Good Tuesday morning. I’ve mentioned the “tuckpointing” work we are doing on the courthouse exterior. This is extremely vital to ensure our courthouse stands for another century. Loose mortar is removed and replaced properly. There is evidence of some past repairs (I do not know when). That work was an attempt to cover original loose mortar. Those repairs were also failing. The bell tower consisted of 1444 linear feet- the main courthouse is at 4000 feet and counting. A mile is 5280 feet.
