Attention to details! The new copper flashing in the valleys and on the hips of the new Courthouse house roof stand out like a shiny new penny. They will age and tarnish as expected. If you look at the courthouse roof now, before the copper tarnishes, you will see little dots on the copper that is covering the hips. To ensure this roof lasts another 137 years, each screw that fastens the copper down has a little copper cap soldered on top so no water can ever get in that screw hole. Zoom in on the pics to see what I’m talking about.
