PERRY COUNTY, Ohio — The Perry County Board of Commissioners has officially recognized Ohio Loves Transit Week, an annual statewide celebration highlighting the essential role of public transportation in connecting Ohio communities, jobs, and services.
In a resolution adopted this week, commissioners noted the importance of reliable transit services for Perry County residents and applauded the dedicated staff at Perry County Transit for their ongoing efforts to keep the community moving.
To mark the occasion and encourage greater use of public transportation, Perry County Transit will provide free rides throughout next week, February 16-20, as part of the week-long celebration. The service will offer a variety of fare-free opportunities tailored to different riders each day, including free rides to work, shopping, and other local destinations.
Riders are invited to schedule their free rides by calling Perry County Transit at (740) 342-2810 and experience the convenience and community benefits of local public transportation firsthand.
