Electricians continued excavation for the permanent power on the ground floor. CK carpenters and framers have continued wood restoration of existing doors and frames, soffit framing, and drywall installation. CK carpenters continued restoration of the existing wood door and frames. The second floor’s SOMD install is ongoing. Exterior masons finished tuckpointing on the West elevation and continued masonry restoration on the South elevation. Interior masons began the install of the first-floor arch stabilization steel. Painters have continued to prime and first coat the first floor of the building.

The demo crew has removed a wall in the magistrate courtroom and finished demo for the new egress stair.

Roofers finished roof tile and copper gutter installation on the clock tower, with TPO roof in the bell tower expected to finish early next week. The concrete crew poured the ground floor courtroom.

Roofers finished painting the clock tower roofing structure and began ridge installation on the Northeast tower as well as box gutters on east and west sides of the courthouse. Masons continued lintel installation on the ground floor and tuckpointing the clocktower. The concrete crew completed the underground tunnel pour and spread footer pour in the ground floor courtroom- preparations for the elevator footer pour have begun. Scaffolding erectors installed clock tower turret scaffolding and tore down scaffolding inside the historic stairway. Tile installation on the Northeast tower is complete; the roofers have moved on to the Southeast tower. Lintel installation on the ground floor and work on the gables is ongoing. The masons have also begun tuckpointing the clocktower. The concrete crew finishing excavation work for the courthouse’s new elevator pit and egress stair footings. Carpenters began sanding the second floor courtroom in preparation of faux painting.

Scaffolding erectors have installed interior clock tower scaffolding and torn down scaffolding around the tower chimneys. Installation of the clock tower roof, as well as tile installation on the towers has begun. Gutter installation on the North and East side of courthouse is still ongoing. Interior masons have started lintel installation on openings in the ground floor, while exterior masons finished the chimney restoration and continued work on the gables. The concrete crew also continued prep work on the ground floor for the new footer installation.

Box gutter installation on Southeast tower has begun as roofers also continue the removal of the gutters on the East side of courthouse. Installation of new gutters is expected to continue into next week, along with the laying of new roofing on the clock tower. The Masons have finished tuckpointing and began stone consolidation on chimneys. Their work on the chimneys is expected to finish next week, with restoration of the gables to follow. The demo crew has completed the removal of the existing elevator shaft and cleaned throughout the courthouse. The concrete crew has also removed portions of concrete slab on ground floor to prep for installation of new footers for the foundation.

Scaffolding erectors modified historic stairway scaffolding to accommodate the elevator shaft demo. Roofers have started install box gutters on Northeast tower, while the masons continued tuckpointing around the Southeast and West chimneys. The demo crew has completed removing the first floor plaster ceilings and continued work on the elevator shaft. Plumbers have completed the underground plumbing on the ground floor. A structural engineer and May’s Consulting were onsite to review the clocktower structural member conditions throughout the week.

The demo crew also removed the existing attic staircase Roofers have continued box gutter work on the second tower while the masons removed east gable cap stones- once the underlying brick is restored, the cap stones will be reattached. Mortar and stone patching around the building and masonry work on the chimneys continues, along with the removal of the existing elevator and plaster ceilings throughout the courthouse. Scaffolding erectors utilized a crane to install beams through bell tower windows to begin tower scaffolding. Masons continued mortar and stone patching around the building. 1st and 2nd floor.

CK laborers demoed the existing sloped roof over the second-floor skylight and existing shelving in the attic. The CK project team walked with county judges, bailiffs, and clerks occupying the second-floor spaces to review the AV and technology packages.

Our window supplier and installer field measured all openings on 3/7. Trash chutes were installed on the North and south elevations, with roofing to commence imminently.

CK iron workers completed installation of support steel on the north elevation of the attic with the remainder of the attic steel to be delivered onsite on 2/16. Ameritech removed the communication line from West side of building on 2/13. Onsite walkthroughs with potential subcontractors are ongoing.

A masonry knee wall was completed in attic, and masons have begun removing existing joints on stone belt on east elevation. These joints are to be repointed when the weather improves. A large newel post was removed and is ready for replication. A propane tank has also been delivered to the jobsite, with heaters to be installed next week.
