Plywood sheathing over main courtroom ceiling is complete. Smaller newel posts were removed and are ready for replication. Temporary heaters were also installed on the Ground, 1st, and 2nd floors of the courthouse. Scaffolding on the south side of the building to be completed next week.
Hat channel installation over the main courtroom ceiling is complete, with a structural inspection conducted on December 28, 2023. Plywood sheathing over main courtroom ceiling is ongoing. A large newel post was removed and is ready for replication. A propane tank has also been delivered to the jobsite, with heaters to be installed next week.
East Elevation Scaffolding is 100% complete. A hat channel was installed over the courtroom ceiling, with plywood sheathing to start next week. O.K. Foundry has also shipped replicated samples including cast iron balusters and ornaments for the historical staircase to the jobsite.
North Elevation scaffolding is now 100% complete, and scaffolding construction on the East and West Elevations has begun. Fencing was also reinstalled on the East side of the courthouse.
North Elevation scaffolding is 80% complete, and Beta Max has been installed on the scaffolding. Another Prebid Phase 2 walkthrough with potential bidders was conducted Friday, December 8, 2023. Design meetings are ongoing.
Construction of scaffolding started Monday, November 27, 2023 on North Elevation. A prebid for Phase 2 began with a walkthrough on Thursday, November 30, 2023 with potential bidders. Portions of the courthouse’s historic stairs were also removed for future recreation in Phase 2. Design meetings are ongoing.
Design Meetings continue. An Exterior Pull Plan Meeting took place on November 9, 2023 involving masonry, scaffolding, roofing, and steel construction. Exterior work is estimated to start on November 27, 2023.
Phase 1 of construction is complete. Design Meetings are ongoing. A Future Building Envelope Meeting scheduled for October 23, 2025 will involve masons, scaffolding, roofing, and steel construction
Final demolition cleanup, demolition of the ground floor ramp, and construction of raised wood flooring on the ground floor was completed.
The removal of insulation in the attic was completed, along with demolition of the brick restroom wall all non-historic tiling, and construction of raised wood flooring on the ground floor has begun. Final cleanup of demolition is ongoing.
