Painters continued painting the doors on the ground floor and ceilings on the first and second floor. Plasterers installed the eagle medallion in the first-floor corridor. Box gutter installation on Southeast tower has begun as roofers also continue the removal of the gutters on the East side of courthouse. Installation of new gutters is expected to continue into next week, along with the laying of new roofing on the clock tower. The Masons have finished tuckpointing and began stone consolidation on chimneys. Their work on the chimneys is expected to finish next week, with restoration of the gables to follow. The demo crew has completed the removal of the existing elevator shaft and cleaned throughout the courthouse. The concrete crew has also removed portions of concrete slab on ground floor to prep for installation of new footers for the foundation.

Roofers have started install box gutters on Northeast tower, while the masons continued tuckpointing around the Southeast and West chimneys. Masons completed the South elevation stone cleaning, with plans to start on the West elevation cleaning next week. They also created stone patching samples to ensure accurate color comparisons. Our window supplier and installer field measured all openings on 3/7. Trash chutes were installed on the North and south elevations, with roofing to commence imminently.

Masons continued work in the attic with focus now on the South knee wall and started removing mortar joints on the West and South building elevations. They have also continued developing field mockups for a mortar color comparison. CK is currently working with our window supplier and installer on field measuring and shop drawings. Scaffolding on both the East and West sides of the courthouse is 100% complete and is green tagged for use, with tower scaffolding erection to follow after roof sheathing. CK iron workers completed installation of support steel on the north elevation of the attic with the remainder of the attic steel to be delivered onsite on 2/16. Ameritech removed the communication line from West side of building on 2/13. Onsite walkthroughs with potential subcontractors are ongoing.

Elevation of the attic. Spectrum also removed the overhead fiber line above the West side scaffolding on 2/6. Onsite walkthroughs with potential subcontractors are ongoing.

Scaffolding on the South side of the building remains at 80% complete – the scaffold crew will be back onsite the week of 2/5. The majority of the masonry wall along north elevation in the attic has been rebuilt, and CK iron workers started installation of steel on the North elevation of the attic. A masonry knee wall was completed in attic, and masons have begun removing existing joints on stone belt on east elevation. These joints are to be repointed when the weather improves. Onsite walkthroughs with potential contractors are ongoing, and an onsite meeting with CK, the county, and Spectrum representatives was conducted to discuss fiber relocation in the west alleyway.

Hat channel installation over the main courtroom ceiling is complete, with a structural inspection conducted on December 28, 2023. Plywood sheathing over main courtroom ceiling is ongoing. A large newel post was removed and is ready for replication. A propane tank has also been delivered to the jobsite, with heaters to be installed next week.

East Elevation Scaffolding is 100% complete. A hat channel was installed over the courtroom ceiling, with plywood sheathing to start next week. O.K. Foundry has also shipped replicated samples including cast iron balusters and ornaments for the historical staircase to the jobsite.
