In recognition of Child Abuse Awareness Month, the Perry County Commissioners and staff came together to show their support by wearing blue— the national color symbolizing child abuse prevention awareness.
On this special day, the Perry County Courthouse was also illuminated in blue, serving as a visible reminder of the community’s commitment to protecting children and strengthening families throughout the county.

This meaningful gesture highlights the importance of raising awareness, encouraging prevention efforts, and supporting local resources dedicated to child safety and well-being. By participating, county officials and employees helped spark conversations and reinforce the message that every child deserves a safe, supportive environment.
Perry County stands united in its dedication to advocating for children and bringing awareness to an issue that impacts communities everywhere.
