Perry County Veterans Services Commission

The Perry County Veterans Services Commission is a county agency funded entirely by Perry County real estate taxes. We are dedicated to aiding veterans and their families in time of need. Our agency provides three basic services:

• Transportation to Veterans Affairs (VA) medical appointments
• Emergency financial assistance
• Assistance with submission of VA claims and benefits

Our office assisted Mr. Foster in attaining correction of his military records acknowledging his service in Vietnam and associated medals and awards.

We strongly encourage veterans to build relationships with their county VSC office as each county has special programs for their county veterans.

What is the cost of transportation?
Perry County veterans on file in our office will be transported free of charge to VA or VA scheduled medical appointments. Based on driver availability and time and location of appointment.
