The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties (UWMPM) partnered with Walmart to deliver 40 pallets of resources to Perry and Morgan Counties to address the needs of those affected by the disastrous flood.
The shipment was safely housed at the Perry County Health Department and the SEO Food Bank assisted with operational support. Shelf stable food, cleaning supplies, personal care items, water and diapers were boxed, loaded on trucks and distributed to Corning, Glenford, Junction City, Crooksville and Rose Farm.
UWMPM recruited 50 volunteers for this disaster relief effort.
There are so many people to thank, starting with Walmart, the Perry County Commissioners and the Perry County Health Department. In addition, we appreciate the support of the Morgan County Commissioners and helpful community volunteers from Morgan County. We also are grateful to the Perry Co. Subway for feeding hungry volunteers.
