Perry County Board of Developmental Disabilities

About Perry County Board of Developmental Disabilities

It is the mission of the Perry County Board of Developmental Disabilities (PCBDD) to partner with the community by using available resources to support individuals with developmental disabilities. PCBDD listens to our community to understand needs, choices and concerns. We maintain the trust of our community by managing our resources wisely. It is the vision of PCBDD to promote a community focused on possibilities. We promote the philosophy that people with developmental disabilities are not defined by their disabilities, but rather as people with abilities that can participate in and contribute to our community. PCBDD receives federal funding through Medicaid programs, state funding through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) and local funding through property tax levies. PCBDD operates five facilities of the board, all of which are located in New Lexington.
