Children Services and JFS Merge
Today, during their regular weekly meeting, the Perry County Commissioners adopted two resolutions that will merge the county’s Children Services agency into Job and Family Services.
The first resolution notified the Perry County Children Services Board of Directors of the intent to dissolve and redesignate board functions to Perry County Job and Family Services. The second resolution officially appointed Amy Frame, currently the Executive Director of Perry County Children Services, to serve as Director of Perry County Job and Family Services, effective January 1, 2025. This transition provides an opportunity to maximize resources, enhance collaboration, and ultimately better serve the Perry County community.
“We are pleased to offer the Director position of the newly expanded Job and Family Services agency to Amy Frame. She brings more than 20 years of agency leadership and local government experience to the position and has proven herself to be a highly effective people leader with a keen understanding of the fiscal and administrative responsibilities of managing a large agency,” said Perry County Commissioner Ben Carpenter. “I would like to thank Cheryl Boley for her long-time service to the agency and Mendra Hupp, who has served as Interim Director since Ms. Boley’s retirement in July, for her commitment during our transition. Mendra will return to her role as Assistant Director in January.”
Perry County Job and Family Services will continue to operate out of its new headquarters at the Perry County Opportunity Center and Children Services will remain in its space on Mill Street.
