My wife, Adelyn and I, live in Reading township outside of New Reading with our two dachshunds, Clyde and Doug. I was raised in Glenford on the family farm by my parents, Dave and Becky Bennett. We enjoy a close but large family with my brothers Caleb (Jessie), Cayne (Catherine), Grey, and youngest sister Ali.
I am a proud graduate of Sheridan High School where I was elected Class President and graduated as valedictorian. Upon finishing high school, I attended Ohio University Zanesville.
After completing all course requirements, I graduated the College of Health Science Professionals with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Cum Laude. I earned a paid internship with Genesis Healthcare System where I began my career as a hospitalist program coordinator. After 2 years in the health administration profession, I joined the family business in water, sewer and utility services.
Adelyn and I attend Grace Lutheran Church in Thornville and enjoy being connected with our community. As I take office in January of 2025, I hope to protect our small-town way of life while bringing opportunities for all of Perry County’s residents. I am proud to serve as your Commissioner and represent Perry County’s people.
